Block print cotton fabric is created using a technique where designs are carved into wooden blocks, which are then used to stamp patterns onto cotton fabric. This traditional method, often done by hand, results in unique, handcrafted textiles with slight variations in each piece. The process involves preparing the fabric, carving the blocks, mixing dyes, and carefully applying the blocks to the fabric, often multiple times for different colours. Variations in print are to be expected in this kind of hand created design

Designer dead stock come to us without fibre content and weight information. We give our best educated guess on both.
By salvaging these fabrics and trims from designer cutting room floors that would previously gone to landfill, our aim is to further promote sustainable sewing.
