Julia @thelionessseamstress
Julia is the owner and Director of The Maker society by Pitt Trading
She grew up in the family business and has forged a life long passion for sewing and textiles. With a keen eye for pattern, fibre and a love of the thrill of the chase, Julia is our chief buyer and head of sourcing. You will find her hunting out fabrics in designers warehouses, sewing or making content for our you tube channel or socials, packing orders and processing stock, she does it all!
When she's not at work you'll find her watching any number of kids sporting matches, hitting the gym, or working on a home DIY project.
Linda @homemade_bylinda
Linda is an accomplished sewer with a background in teaching and dressmaking. A constant source of inspiration and ideas, no one can match a trim to a make like Linda can! With an eye for organisation She's getting the warehouse in order one shelf at a time. Linda packs a lot of your orders and you may have spoken to her with general enquiries and order queries.
When she's not at work you'll find her loving on her dog Ziggy, striking a yoga pose or sewing her next creation
Gemma @gemthelabel
Gemma brings a young, fresh approach to sewing to the team. As the head of her own sustainable slow fashion business, Gem the label, Gemma is across all things sustainability. With a passion for beautiful textiles and natural fibres, Gemma delights in bringing our beautiful fabrics to you with stock processing and order fulfilment.
When she's not at work you'll find her working on her label or travelling across the country to show her pieces at markets
Caroline is a long time team member, having been with us for over 20 years.She has an intensely creative mind and a fabric knowledge that surpasses most. She's involved in getting all the new stock online, making kits and designing new products. With a flair for colour and pattern, Caroline is a driving force in our strikingly unique kits and subscription boxes.
When she's not at work you'll find her mountain bike riding, redecorating or working on her next sewing project.
